Kathleen Rollings Professor Nall ENGL 1312 W70 12-11-2023 Final Reflection For this final reflection, I will be covering several different subjects, including the assignments I worked on in this class, what I’ve learned and can take away, some of my strengths and weaknesses, and overall, how this class affected me academically, professionally, and personally. I start first with my assignments. Assignment 1. Academic Success Proposal. For this assignment, I was given the challenge to write about something that hinders me in my academic life. The class covered several writings about how the fear of failure can overwhelm freshmen, this was familiar to me because I was one of those freshmen who was scared in a brand-new environment not knowing what I was about to face. In researching for this assignment, I learned something about myself. I learned how my inability to deny requests from others often made it hard for me to set time to study, and how that ends up affecting me because it lead...

So these are some of my notes for when I started writing the first project the Academic Sucess essay. My thought process is usually pretty sporadic so I have to often write things down for me to stay on track, but if I write everything down I find that I often lose my sense of creativity. This is why what you see in the photo is my notes for my original brainstorming that I did until I finalized how I would do things. Most of my notes I ended uplosing so I was glad I still had these.

 So, this was the first rough draft of my Academic Sucess proposal which is posted on here as well. When I originally submitted this, I knew there would be issues with it, which is why i was thankful and excited for the feedback I received from Professor Nall.  This was the feedback. For this annotated bibliography I covered it on the story "Stopping By the Woods On a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost. I my goal for this was to compile reliable sources that covered both this story and the author. My intended audiance would be for someone who was trying to write a paper on either of these subjects and wants to find a correct and reliable references.  For this writing project, my goal was to capture a quick snapshot of the author and story I was writing about. I wanted to take someone to the world that "The Gift of the Magi" is in, without retelling the whole story. For this project, I was tasked with a challenge that I face with my academics. As someone who struggles with multiple things, I wanted to pick a topic that I wasn't sure a lot of other people would think about but definitely one that I know someone else out there could relate to.
